This was one of the worst engineering books that I had in my college career. Unfortunately, my school required it, and then realized how bad it was that they decided not to use it the next semester and wouldn't buy it back. If your school requires it for class, I would strongly recommend speaking with your instructor about using the Hibbler mechanics of materials book, which is a far superior book. If you are simply looking for a materials book for reference, look elsewhere.
